The acronym HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. The heating and cooling plants can be individually upgrade and replaced. The ventilation or distribution system typically can be adapted until a major renovation allows it to be updated while the walls and flooring are open. Geothermal Systems: The earth maintains a constant temperature of around 55° F so if the outdoor temperatures are 15° F or 90° F a geothermal system can use mother earth to heat and cool your house.
Geothermal Systems work like air conditioners but rather than using the outdoor air to absorb heat on a 90° F day, they use buried pipes to transfer the heat to earth which is at 55°F. BHA represents the Waterfurnace line of premier Geothermal Systems.

Radiant Heat: Typically Radiant Heat is installed in the floors. In-floor radiant heat is a network of pipes installed underneath the flooring. In-Floor radiant heat is the delivery method for distributing heat and replaces radiators or baseboard heaters. Current radiant heat systems have about a 30% greater efficiency than other delivery systems because there is less heat loss to the ceiling. Heat rises, like a helium balloon.
That is why forced air returns are located near the floor to try and heat the floor, but the bulk of the heat energy ends up at the ceiling. With in-floor radiant heat, the heat is delivered below the floor and radiates up through the floor. The distribution is much more even through out the room and creates a greater degree of comfort than conventional hot air, radiators or baseboard heat. BHA carries the following premier lines of Radiant Heat Technology: Viega, and Rehau.
